2nd Grade Class Information

I am looking forward to a new school year!
About Me:
My name is Annisa Longoria. This is my 6th year teaching at Ss. Cyril and Methodius. I graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Biology and Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction from TAMUCC. I have also attended SSCM when I was younger and it has continued to be my 2nd home since then. My daughter, Emma, also attends SSCM and is in 3rd Grade this year. I am planning to get married June 2024 and absolutely love and adore my 4 cats at home!
Our Classroom:
This year, your child will learn to become more independent in their math and literacy skills and continue to improve in reading level, fluency, and accuracy. They will learn up to three digit addition and subtraction with regrouping, multiplication, and become better readers and writers! Students will also be preparing to make their Sacrament of Reconciliation and 1st Communion this year. Make sure Baptismal certificates are on file in the office.
I focus on teaching American Sign Language throughout the year. Your child will learn how to fingerspell the alphabet, colors, some animals, songs, and a few common phrases.
